Here at The House our customers come back time and time again to sample our steak dishes. They are extremely popular and our guys on the meat section are passionate about the dishes. They are daily making delicious fresh jus, gravies and sauces all from scratch to complement the cuts of meat not only for our steak section but for our other meaty dishes too.
We were delighted when Ainsley Harriot (the lovely lively chef off the tele) popped in for dinner with some friends and told us "This is the best steak I've had in Brighton"
Our head chef Grahame and the owners have created some great dishes that cater to everybodies tastes:
Beef Wellington: Our take on the classic dish Beef Wellington is a firm favourite. We do require a pre-order on booking for this dish as each one is lovingly prepared to order with freshly made pastry, pate and of course has the melt in the mouth fillet of Beef as the centrepiece. Very indulgent!!
Classic Rib Eye: This dish is always a hit. When you fancy sticking to tradition and going for a great steak with mushrooms, vine tomatoes and hand cut chunky chips this is the one for you.
Peppered Rib Eye: There's something about steak and peppered sauce....it just works a triumph!
Fillet Steak Ischitana: this fillet has a really tasty sauce of cream, mushroom, onion, red wine and brandy just to liven things up a bit!! One of our best sellers.
Fragrant fillet: lovely combination of herbs..rosemary and garlic in a red wine jus with crispy pancetta to top it off.
Seared fillet: for those of you who love some strong flavours with your fillet try this one with a colourful port and cranberry sauce and some crumbled blue cheese. It's fab.
Our fillet Rossini: back by popular demand with crispy crouton and rich chicken liver pate.
All our steaks are served with in house hand cut chunky chips or new potatoes. You can order skinny fries if you prefer.
Our dishes do change from time to time and look out for our daily specials boards too which may have some additional steak choices to savour.
